Season's Greetings to all!

Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa and a Happy New Year to all my readers. I am traveling a bit right now so no posts but I hope to have lots of material to kick off the New Year right!

A no-news post

I am between business trips. I thought I would knit on the train to and from Beijing but all I did was sleep. So no knitting progress.

I'm off on a trip again early tomorrow and am taking the Viajante with me for plane knitting and stuff for a pair of mittens in case I actually finish the Viajante - yes, it is that long of a flight going and coming.

In the meantime, there's nothing to see here folks. So move on!

Dropping in to say hello

I am so sorry that I have been silent for a while. I have been knitting away on Viajante using my new mink yarn. I have finished one ball and am onto the second.

I am traveling again and so I have been unable to find time to write posts although I am collecting a lot of information for future posts. So please, hang in there with me, and I promise I will be back with lots of interesting stuff!

Just back from Beijing

We went on a short holiday to Beijing this weekend. I have lots of fodder for posts but need to organize it before posting. So you will have to wait for the weekend to get all the details. I also suspect that there will be a flood of posts.

Why I have been silent

First of all, my heart goes out to the city of Boston and all the people who worked so hard to qualify for the marathon - only to see their dreams vanish in the blasts of two bombs. We are strong, we are one and we will not give in to violence. We will pick ourselves off, bind our wounds and go back to our lives because that is the only way to show the perpetrators that they cannot take away our freedom.

I was traveling on business and sadly, did not do any knitting or spinning while I was away. It was a tough week - 3 cities in 8 days and lots of presentation to prepare and give. However, I did get to spend the weekend with family.

Now I am back home and ready to tackle my projects again!

Nothing knitting-wise to report

I have no knitting news. I am knitting but I can't post about it. It should be done this week and then I can start talking about knitting again.

So all I can discuss is the knitting that is on my mind. I have been picking classes to teach in the spring at the local yarn store. I am thinking through what needs to be done to finish the Stor Rund Dug shawl which is my next objective. Lastly, I am debating what I should start next - there are a couple of major projects that I want to knit:

• Rose Lace Collar Bohus

• Swedish Heartwarmer Shawl

Additionally, I need to make my niece a stole and I have to knit my wrist brace liners. So many decisions...

Sorry for the boring update this week. By next week, I hope to have some news on what I'm knitting next.
